We have some exciting events coming up here at YWCA Yorkshire! Here are some dates to add to your diary:
Sheffield 10k – Sunday 24th September
This September a number of teams will be running the Sheffield 10k to raise funds for YWCA Yorkshire. Six teams, including one made up of members of the Academy of Chief Executives, and another of staff from YWCA Yorkshire, will be running the race – hope you are all training hard! It would be great to have as many people as possible cheering them on during the day. There is more information about the route and timings here.
Macmillan Coffee Morning – Thursday 28th September
Rotherham Services are running another coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. There will be cakes, biscuits, tea and coffee, and a variety of goodies, available at the Fleming Gardens office (11 Fleming Gardens, S66 2EY) between 11am and 1pm. Staff and residents from Fleming Gardens contribute to the treats on offer, and it’s always a fun morning! Why not pop in on your lunch break? All are welcome. There will also be a bric-a-brac stall raising money for YWCA Yorkshire. Hope to see you there!
Charity Dinner – Thursday 9th November
This November you are invited to a Charity Brexit Dinner in aid of YWCA Yorkshire. Taking place at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria in Sheffield, the evening includes a welcome drink, three course meal, silent auction, and heads and tails bingo. We have Justin Urquhart Stewart as our guest speaker, who will entertain us all with his witty commentary and anecdotes about Brexit, and offer his predictions on moving forward in the current political climate. Known for his red braces, Justin is a hugely entertaining speaker who will make us all laugh – and cry – about Brexit!
