Peile House

Peile House provides accommodation and bespoke wrap-around support for young homeless women in ten bedsits and four self-contained flats in Sheffield. Commissioned by Sheffield City Council, the service helps women make the transition from homelessness to independence. On-site Project Workers support residents to build confidence and skills, access training and education, to re-establish relationships with family, and to return home or build new homes and better futures. This is a vital service for young women and their children, who may not have the security of family and friends to fall back on in difficult hard times.

If you're need of our services, and you are aged 16 to 25 years, then please contact Sheffield City Council. Our accommodation is for single women, pregnant women and with women with young child in their care.

Once a young woman has made contact with the Housing Support Pathway, she will be assessed by their team. The young woman will then be matched with an appropriate accommodation provider. If you feel that a young woman specifically needs the support of the Peile House Project, then you should mention this at the assessment stage. Whilst there are no guarantees, the council will try to accommodate the specific wishes of clients where they can.

“The service is exceptional at taking the initiative and identifying and adapting their services to meet local and strategic demand”
