COVID-19 update

Here is a statement on how the staff team there are pulling together to provide quality support in these difficult times:

"It has been a difficult few weeks, we have had to adjust to a new way of working. We have a number of staff working from home, due to the different recommendations to keep everyone safe at this time. We have had a couple of the team affected by the symptoms of this virus, thankfully they are doing well.

The whole team is pulling together, the ladies left in the office are doing an amazing job maintaining contact with the most vulnerable families that we support. They are there holding the fort reporting back and dealing with any direct support needs and issues which is just amazing.

The workers at home are doing well ensuring we continue to provide the best service to all the service users, they have been fund raising, and providing one to one sessions via SKYPE and over the phone. Everyone is ensuring there is minimal disruption to the support we provide all be it we cannot have the face to face contact at this moment in time.

All managers are working hard as things change day by day to ensure the right support is available to everyone, that crucial information is shared and that the teams feel supported. Well done YWCA Yorkshire we are all an amazing team"
