Freedom feedback

The feedback is in from our most recent freedom programme in Doncaster and it’s lovely to hear what amazing progress has been made.

The Freedom programme is a 6 week programme which gives an opportunity for women to develop different ways of thinking to protect themselves and their children from harm.  It is a nationally recognised support programme open to any woman to come and take part, meet others, and talk about issues important in their lives.

Here’s what the young women taking taking part identified as the key leaning areas of the programme:

"What an abuser looks like"

"The effects of abuse"

"I've learnt how control works"

"Violence is not acceptable"

"Children are heavily affected by violence and abuse"

"Women have rights too"

"What is acceptable in a relationship"

"I know it's not my fault"

"Signs of abuse"
