Play Rotherham Community Lottery and Support our Charity - It's as easy as 1,2,3!

YWCA Yorkshire is delighted to announce that Fleming Gardens in Rotherham will raise charity funds through the newly launched Rotherham Community Lottery. The first prize draw will be Saturday 10th February and tickets are already on sale.

Rotherham Community Lottery is an exciting new fundraising initiative for essential local charities like ours.  Players that nominate the Fleming Gardens project as their chosen charity, will be donating 50p in every £1 they spend on a ticket to empowering women, children and families locally.

It’s a great way to support the vital work of Fleming Gardens whilst having fun, and who knows, your ticket could win you £25K!

Taking part in this fantastic fundraising initiative is as easy as 1,2,3.

1. Play Rotherham Community Lottery.

2. Nominate Fleming Gardens as your chosen charity

3. Win weekly money and prizes and feel great!

You can purchase tickets online and play as little or as often as your like. Tickets start from £1 each. The draw is weekly, with a jackpot of £25,000; other prizes being £2,000, £250 and £25. Oh, and there are regular prize draw gifts too!

50% of every ticket sale goes to your chosen good cause. A further 10% from every ticket will go into a Rotherham Central Fund and the remainder will be put towards prizes, operating costs and VAT. Players need to be 18 and over.

Leading Lottery management company, Gatherwell, has been appointed by Voluntary Action Rotherham to run the scheme that goes live this month.

Fleming Gardens Senior Project Worker, Claire Pearson, said: “We’re thrilled to be part of this new fundraising scheme in Rotherham – what a great way for people to support their local communities whilst also having the chance to win cash and prizes. By choosing to make us your community lottery charity you'll be donating to some of the most vulnerable people in our town; supporting them to build better futures for themselves and their children.

The people we work with have stories that often go unheard. They may have experienced homelessness, trauma, abuse, poverty and relationship breakdowns. In many cases, despite living in Rotherham their whole life, they won't have the security or comfort of family to fall back on.

Our charity provides housing, support networks, training and access to education. Having a warm and safe place to call home, and compassionate, professional people to support you through the tough times, can break the cycle and change the trajectory of a person's life forever.

We're proud to say that our families are resilient and brave and with your love and support they will thrive. Thank you Rotherham.”
