Proudly supporting women, children and families in South Yorkshire
It’s time we unveiled South Yorkshire’s best kept secret. To boldly tell our story of female advocacy and empowerment. And we need your help.
As a member of one of the oldest women's organisations in the world, today YWCA Yorkshire supports 250 women, children and families in Rotherham, Doncaster and Sheffield to create a better future.
You may already know all about us. You may be a friend of the charity or someone that has been supported by the vital work we do. Perhaps you work, volunteer or partner with us? Sadly, there are still too many people out there who haven't heard of YWCA Yorkshire, and it’s time that changed!
Why? Because women’s stories here in South Yorkshire are important. Because now, more than ever, the challenges faced by women experiencing homelessness, financial hardship and domestic abuse, deserve our attention. Because to offer the long-term holistic support that is needed to make a positive change needs not just our attention, but funding and great people who want to be part of our journey.
This video is an introduction to who we are, what we do and what we believe in. It’s the story of YWCA Yorkshire, our people, our values and our services.
We're proud of our impact locally, working with partners across the region to empower and support communities, and we are reaching out to our friends to help us to tell this story by sharing this video onwards with your networks.
Please help spread the word by watching and sharing. If you'd like to learn more about us, or you’d like to find out how we can work together, then don’t hesitate to get in touch. The empowerment of women, children and families here in South Yorkshire is everyone's business and collectively we can achieve so much more. admin@ywcayorkshire.org.uk
We believe that women, children and families deserve the best opportunity to thrive. Through a range of housing and wrap-around services, we work to empower people to live independent, happy and fulfilled lives.
We work with some of the most vulnerable and resilient people in society, who often don't have the security or comfort of family to fall back on. In doing this, we offer compassion, partnerships, understanding and professional services. Our charity supports people to build a home, make connections, access training and education, and raise children safely, with care and confidence.
We are helping create positive change in communities across the region and are part of a global network of charities with a long history of supporting and celebrating women worldwide. Can you help tell and be part of our story?
